Terms, in plain words

Use PondScan with common sense and you'll never need this page again.

Depths are estimates, not surveys.

PondScan models depth from pond-type geology (phosphate pit, quarry, natural lake…). Not a survey, not sonar, not for navigation. Verify anything that matters yourself.

Fishing rules come from FWC, not us.

Licenses, bag and size limits are set by Florida's Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Our regulation notes are informational, with the dates we verified them β€” rules change, so confirm at myfwc.com before you fish.

Private water needs permission.

Scott Lake is private. Its hot spots and catch clusters stay hidden on the map until you tap "Show spots β€” I have permission." Tapping that button means the owner said yes. Trespassing is on you, not the app.

Safety is your call.

Steep pit banks, deep water, soft muck, lightning, gators β€” you fish at your own risk. Watch your footing, watch the sky. Kids fish with an adult, always.

As is, no warranty.

PondScan is provided "as is" with no warranties of any kind. We're not liable for lost fish, lost tackle, fines, injuries, or anything else that happens out there.

Free, and may change.

PondScan is a free service. Features, data, and these terms may change; the current version always lives at this URL.
